If you experience any issues loading our app, try the following steps:
Using Wi-Fi instead of mobile data is recommended as the connection tends to be more stable.
We also advise you ensure your operating system is up to date. To do this using an iOS device, navigate via Settings > General > Software update. On an Android device, navigate via Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Please remember that the minimum required specifications for our app are:
- iOS 8.1 or higher (anything lower is no longer supported)
- iPhone 5s or iPad Air and Mini Retina
- Android Lollipop 5.0 or newer
Force close the app and then reopen
You can close apps by quickly pressing the ‘Home’ button twice on an iOS device. Your recently used apps will be displayed and you can swipe up on each to fully close them.
If you have an iPhone X or later, or an iPad with iOS 12, please follow the steps below:
- Swipe up from the bottom.
- Find the app you want to close by swiping left or right.
- Swipe up on the app to fully close it.
To do this on an Android device, navigate via Settings > Choose apps > Running tab > Virgin Bet app > Stop or force stop.
Clear your cache
If you’re using an Android device, you can clear your cache by navigating via Settings > Apps > Virgin Bet app > Storage > Clear cache and clear data.
On an iOS device, turn the app completely off and then restart it. This will clear the cache and should resolve any issues.
Turn off your device
Turning off your device and resetting your router for 10-15 minutes can allow your internet connection to refresh and get back to speed
Uninstall and then reinstall the app
Should you still experience further issues, it may be worth uninstalling and then reinstalling the app on your device. Your account is recorded on our servers, so temporarily removing the app and reinstalling it will not cause any problems.
On an iOS device, you can remove our app by holding your finger on the Virgin Bet icon. Once it begins to shake, click the 'X' to delete.
Using an Android device, hold your finger on the app icon and drag it into the 'Uninstall' option at the top of the page.
Once you’ve removed the app, you can reinstall it directly from the App Store or Google Play by searching for ‘Virgin Bet’.
