Greyhounds What’s a reserve trap in greyhounds? In instances where a greyhound becomes a non-runner, a reserve may take its place. If you’ve bet on a greyhound and it’s replaced by a reserve, your bet is void. Forecast If you select a non-runner in a straight or reversed forecast bet, your bet will be settled as a win single at the starting price (SP) on the remaining selection. The reserve selection will not be used for bet settlement. If you select a non-runner in a combination forecast, the total stake of the bet will be divided equally between the possible forecast combinations with the remaining selections. The forecasts including the non-runner will become SP singles. Once again, the reserve selection will not be used for bet settlement. Tricast If no tricast dividend is returned, bets will be made void. Non-Runners Should there be a late non-runner, any bets placed at a price will revert to the SP. This does mean that it could be lower or higher than the price you initially took. Each-way places There does have to be a certain number of dogs running for each-way places to apply. The number of dogs required can be found in the below table: Runners Odds and Places 2-4 Win Only 5-6 ¼ odds. 1st and 2nd If you need any further assistance, please see our contact details here.
