Puck line, an American term for handicap commonly used in ice hockey, is a value applied to either team at the end of a specified period. You have to predict which team will win once the puck line has been applied.
Any bets ending in a tie once the puck line has been applied will be void.
For example:
Event | Selection | Actual result | Result after puck line applied |
---|---|---|---|
Boston Bruins @ Dallas Stars | Boston Bruins +1.5 | Boston Bruins 3-4 Dallas Stars | Boston Bruins 4.5-4 Dallas Stars (Bet wins) |
Boston Bruins @ Dallas Stars | Boston Bruins -1.5 | Boston Bruins 4-4 Dallas Stars | Boston Bruins 2.5-4 Dallas Stars (Bet loses) |
Boston Bruins @ Dallas Stars | Dallas Stars -2.0 | Boston Bruins 2-4 Dallas Stars | Boston Bruins 2-2 Dallas Stars (Bet void) |
